At Revitalize Medical Center, our goal is to heal chronic pain from within. Our approach utilizes an integrative technique, using the best of evidence-based treatments from both complementary and conventional medicine. Our wellness approach focuses on minimizing medication use and targeting the root cause of your pain. A treatment algorithm will be designed specifically for you – using proven minimally invasive procedures and regenerative medicine when indicated, along with treating nutritional and metabolic deficiencies, addressing psychological issues that often coexist with pain, and partnering with the patient to develop a treatment plan to heal both mind and body. Our goal is to eliminate chronic pain, instead of simply masking it.

Dr. DeCaria is double-board certified in anesthesia and pain management by the American Board of Anesthesiology. Raised in the Midwest, Dr. DeCaria attended college and medical school in Michigan, followed by residency and fellowship in Chicago. Since completing fellowship, Dr DeCaria was on faculty at the University of Chicago for half a decade, where she taught dozens of physicians in training. During this time, she pursued further education in integrative medicine, including a year-long faculty scholars program at the Northwestern Osher Center for Integrative Medicine. Since then, Dr. DeCaria completed additional coursework through the Institute of Functional Medicine, as well as the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine. She has authored numerous textbook chapters and peer-reviewed publications on pain management, presented at national conferences, and serves as an expert peer reviewer for a top-tier national pain medicine journal.

Throughout her practice at the University of Chicago, Dr. DeCaria realized there was a lack of integration between the complementary and conventional sides of medicine. She saw more and more patients in chronic pain turning to complementary medicine, without the guidance of a trained physician and often without discussing these treatments with their medical doctor. And so Revitalize Medical Center was born—as a place patients in chronic pain can go for an east meets west approach to reduce pain, restore function, and revitalize their life.

Please note that Revitalize Medical Center is primarily a non-opioid (non-narcotic) practice that focuses on treating patients’ pain with lifestyle modifications, nutritional counseling, and targeted interventions, such as injections and minimally-invasive procedures.
